Bizarre Bazaar

On the 19th May Sydney Laneways are going to be alive with entertainment and fashion.
Christopher Mclaren the event organiser had this to say -

What inspired you to create Bizarre Bazaar?
We see fantastic laneways and public spaces in Sydney and we see amazing, unique Sydney designers
struggling to break into the fashion scene. Bizarre Bazaar was created to merge the two and help
Sydney locals explore our city and it's emerging fashion designers.

What are you looking forward to most on the 19th?
Being amongst an environment where public meets designer meets media - and probably a glass of
bubbles afterward..

What made you choose the Laneways for the event?
Sydney's laneways at night are gorgeous. There's so much you can do with a space like that, especially
when it's lined with great bars.

What has been your biggest challenge putting on this event?
Trying to squeeze as many fabulous designers into Bizarre Bazaar as possible - let's just say it'll be
'comfortably intimate'!

Will there be more Bizarre Bazaars?
Without a doubt. We've had an overwhelming response from the public, the media, and of course from
local designers. We can't wait to begin planning round two!

What is your long term goal for Bizarre Bazaars?
Continue to explore Sydney's cheeky cosmopolitan side. If the great response to the Bizarre Bazaar project is
any indication, pop-up markets will soon light up our laneways with fashion and music on a weekly basis.

So put the date in your diary as this sounds like it is an event not to be missed!
